Team Belgium reveals full FIA Motorsports Game line-up

Team Belgium has confirmed its full line-up for this year's FIA Motorsport Games, which is set for its inaugural running at the Vallelunga Circuit near Rome on 1-3 November.

Selected by the country's National Sporting Authority, the Royal Automobile Club of Belgium (RACB), the delegation will be led by Bas Leinders. An accomplished professional racer across a range of disciplines, Leinders now acts as captain of the RACB National Team.

Belgium's participation in the Touring Car Cup was confirmed earlier this week, with RACB National Team member Gilles Magnus set to tackle the event in an Audi RS3 LMS run by World Touring Car Cup outfit Comtoyou Racing.

Nicolas Baert will represent his country in the Formula 4 Cup, where he will draw upon his experience in the discipline's Spanish national championship. Antoine Morlet and Manon Degotte will be on Karting Slalom Cup duty for Team Belgium, while Felix Ferir will lead the nation's charge in the Digital Cup.

"It is an honour for me to extend the role I have held for more than 10 years with the RACB National Team," commented Leinders. "I feel a real motivation in these young people, a desire to best represent our country in this international gathering. I'll be there to coach them and to help them manage the stress that an event of this magnitude can generate. We will try to bring home medals."

Hosted by Rome and with the nearby Vallelunga Circuit staging the on-track action, the FIA Motorsport Games is a new multi-disciplinary contest that features six categories: GT Cup, Touring Car Cup, Formula 4 Cup, Drifting Cup, Karting Slalom Cup and Digital Cup.

Competitors from across the globe will chase a spot on the podium, with gold, silver and bronze medals awarded to the top-three finishers in each event. These results will produce an overall medal table, with the top National Sporting Authority (ASN) awarded the inaugural FIA Motorsport Games trophy during the closing ceremony in Rome.

Further entries will be announced next week prior to the entry list being finalised. Sporting Regulations are available at fia.com.
